Billies Flower House

OUR BRICK AND MORTAR FLOWER SHOP

Located in the heart of downtown Squamish, Billies Flower House, formerly known as Billie's Bouquet, opened their doors in 1973 by Squamish legend, Billie Kibsey. Forty-four years later, owned and operated by husband and wife team Kevin and Alanna Wilson, Billies is still a local favourite - a beautiful brick and mortar flower shop brimming with fresh flowers, unique planters, terrariums, gifts and natural curiosities.
Flowers are our passion; we design fresh arrangements for everyday occasions and celebrations, to special events like weddings, corporate functions and funerals. Our mission is simple - to inspire and delight our customers every single day.

We invite you in to delight your senses, or just say hi!

Meet the Team

Alanna-Creative Director

In a ten minute career coaching session, this Rossland BC gal was asked to choose three words that would define her ideal career. She chose: colour, nature and community. Shortly after, she became a florist and those words encompass everything she does at Billies. She has the honour of working with nature's beauty on a daily basis, bringing vibrancy and beauty to the community she loves. With over 16 years of floral experience, Alanna still loves to stay current and has recently studied with Tulipina and Sinclair & Moore. Her design sensibility is imbued with her love for evocative colour palettes and lush surprising botanical delights. Full, flowing and lush garden style bouquets make her heart pound and she feels humbled by the opportunity to use flowers as her medium to help express emotion. When not designing a wedding, filling the store with fresh floral creations, or curating the Billies gift collection, this busy bee can be found spending quality time with her family, digging in her garden, teaching a Nia Dance class www.nianow.com or sewing a quilt. . Ferns & moss, textiles & trees, travelling & hiking and her family are a few of her favourite things.

Kevin-Co-owner, Store Director

Originally hailing from 'Down Under', Kevin has been in the agriculture industry for over twenty-five years. He knows the local growers and takes pride in the jigsaw puzzle process of fitting the dozens of buckets of flowers and potted plants into the delivery van. This do-it-all talented man divides his time between managing the office, delivering flowers, driving to the flower market to pick up the weekly orders, and setting up weddings. Kevin brings his passion for people to this role at Billies and always has a joke to lighten the day. He is lit up by the daily comments of how Billies brings inspiration and a sense of peace to those who visit our shop. He is truly committed to our core values and always has a word of gratitude and appreciation for the team. In his spare time Kevin can be found rocking out on the drums, perusing the local vinyl shop and being Super-Dad to Alanna and Kevin's son, Shem.
